Private Fitness House GuangZhou
Our client is planning to build a private fitness building
surrounded by an outdoor tennis court and golf course. The complex will be located in the middle of a heavily wooded semitropical valley, outside Guangzhou city centre.
The premises have been carefully designed to minimize any negative environmental impact such as destruction of trees. The focus has been to provide
a positive interaction between nature and the premises.
The building houses communal areas, a terraced garden, an indoor
table tennis room and several shower rooms, with great visual
connect with the surrounding nature and sports facilities.
The folded form of the building makes it to fit well within the surrounding
environment, both reorganizing and defining the surrounding
space via the architectural medium. This results in intensification
of the physical and emotional interaction between both the building and the landscape.
The building rises as if sculpture-like from the surrounding landscape
settings, while its form encourages visitors to pay attention to the sky and the surrounding valley
